Watercolor Paintings of Flowers and Birds
http://www.brandycraft.com One of my many talents as an artist is an exceptional ability to capture reality in watercolor paintings especially with flowers and birds along with other animals. I do great pet portraits of dogs, cats or any other critter you may love. Most people envision watercolor as washed out, the colors running together as if the whole painting was dipped in a tub of water. This is not the case with my paintings. It is possible to attain, with watercolors, the same intensity and clarity that is not unlike oils or acrylics. One of the keys is to simply NOT use so much water. I use the type of paint that is in a tube much like oils and have found that there is really little need for much water at all. The washed look can be achieved if that is what a person wants, I just prefer to have more reality in my paintings. Visit my site http://www.brandycraft.com for many examples of my watercolor and other mediums.
